My students represent a diverse selection of ethnic backgrounds and abilities. Each child is unique and talented in so many different ways. Our students range in ability from those with a variety of special needs to those gifted and talented in academics or other areas. We teach artists, singers, dancers, gymnasts, athletes, writers, and mathematicians.
I'm lucky to be able to work with a team of likewise dedicated educators.
Together we integrate all disciplines to develop a well-rounded program of common core standards. Students are engaged throughout the day as reading and math are taught through the arts.
My Project
At our school, we have sadly have a very limited budget. Unfortunately there is no money available for supplies to complete projects we teachers deem valuable.
Art is an important part of our curriculum.
Art supports creativity, self expression, and processing ideas and emotions in ways that can not be achieved in more traditional pencil and paper lessons. It supports math and science, and we third grade teachers, as a team, work to coordinate projects with interdisciplinary aspects.
Keeping this in mind, we need a tie-dye kit, paper, cardstock, and other art materials to bring our lessons to life. Your donations will help our students create and learn in a way that is most meaningful!
