This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first-time art teacher in an urban low-income community. I teach K-8 art lessons including a special education class. I would like to provide new exposures and different opportunities for students to have a broader knowledge of art. I have an art history background and have utilize this prior knowledge to pair art lessons with artist, such as Picasso, Romero Britto, Briget Riley, etc.
These supplies will help students manifest to life their creative ideas that have been inspired by art masters.
