My Project

My artists are super creative and always enjoy exploring art materials in the art room. My students and I need a storage cabinet to organize art materials efficiently. Currently, most of the art materials are stored in a back closet making art supplies difficult to get to when needed.

This storage cabinet will store all of our drawing materials making it easy for students to get supplies and put them back when needed easily.

With this storage cabinet, I can easily label the totes with the type of material and a picture of the art material to make the supplies easily accessible to all of my students especially my ENL students and my students with disabilities. Having a photo and the supplies clearly labeled will make it easier for my students to find what they need.

As an art teacher, I want my students to be able to make artistic decisions when working on projects to decide the materials they want to use to create their projects and express their ideas. Having supplies organized and easily accessible to students will help me to achieve this goal. This will also help my students to be more independent in the art room and have ownership over their learning.
