My Students
I am an Art teacher at a low-income urban public school in Cincinnati, Ohio. 89% of students at my school receive free or reduced lunch. Many of my students have difficult home situations. For those children, school is the place where they are safe, where they are loved, where they are fed, and where they are cared for.
My Students come to the art room to create, to be inspired, to learn, to collaborate, and to have fun.
I teach Visual Arts to all the students in my school from Kindergarteners all the way up to 6th graders. I work hard to make students' Elementary art experience full of wonder, experiences, and inspiration. I have a meager budget, and any projects funded would directly benefit all the students at my school. Thank you for your consideration and support!!

My Project
The Yacker Tracker Noise Level Monitor Detector will help students better self monitor their Noise levels during work time in Art class. This will allow students to better focus, and improve their "time on-task," as well as decrease classroom management issues.
The speaker & headset will allow my students and I to go beyond the classroom to create and appreciate art in the outdoors, and they will be able to hear me loud & clear!
I can see trips to view the wonderful murals & sculptures around the city, as well as opportunities to create art within the community!
The Art poster will serve as a reminder to students to check their work during work time, as well as after they finish.
