Our art students come from a variety of socioeconomic, cultural, and artistic backgrounds. Some of our students come to us and have never created art. I work hard to incorporate art creation, aesthetics, art history, and art criticism into my students' lessons and make it my personal goal for these kids to enjoy walking into the art room to create! In our art room, we make connections to the core areas (math, reading, social studies, science, and writing) so students see that art connects to many parts of our lives.
Our art students are always creating, doodling, drawing, sculpting, folding, carving, critiquing, analyzing, comparing, and learning!
We are a busy classroom!
My Project
We need basic supplies for our art room!
Students in our school are fortunate to have a lot of art opportunities.
This also means we go through a lot of supplies. We would appreciate some basic, every day supplies that we go through larger quantities of. We use glue sticks, pencils, and Sharpies regularly - pretty much every single day! We have a new favorite project coming up - explosion books - that we need extra strength glue sticks for. Sharpies are regularly used for outlining and defining projects. We also create Wisconsin drawing projects with cardstock backgrounds. I use dry erase markers to write sub plans on my board, change out lunch choices, etc. Please help me set my students (and classroom ) up for success with quality, basic supplies!
