Kindergarten artists create art daily and would really appreciate journals to draw and write in. Getting in touch with our feelings is a big part of our social-emotional learning and what better way to communicate these feelings than by drawing them all out. Art journals are a place to express thoughts, feelings, ideas and to explore different artistic mediums as well as a safe space for children to express themselves
Using kindness crayons along with cutting and pasting brightly colored paper inside the blank pages of the journal as a collage will allow for endless possibilities of creativity.
The names of. the crayons - Rise Above, Always Brave, Keep Moving Forward are an inspiration for drawing and creating beautiful pages inside an art journal.
Art is as natural as sunshine and as vital as nourishment. ~ Maryann F. Kohl
By donating Art Journals to kindergarten artists, children will feel pride in their original artistic creations. Children who are exposed to the arts improve cognitive skills and learn to think creatively. They observe and describe, analyze and interpret, and express feelings, with or without words. Through the art-making process, children practice problem-solving skills and truly master self-confidence.
