Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I teach in a Title 1 school with about 900 students. I see all of them every week and classes can be large. Elbow room is not always a luxury. I would love to have these drawing boards so students can sit other places than at the table to draw. I would love to be able to take classes outside to draw what they see. These boards would make that possible. I want my students to realize that inspiration is all around us. I want them to experience new ways to express themselves. I don't want them to feel limited to our classroom or their table. Art on the move!
