My Students

My students are excited about art! I teach K-5 art at a Title One school in North Carolina. My students are eager to create and learn. I cannot emphasize enough how important art is for my students during this pandemic. Art allows students to express themselves and cope with what they are going through. My class is providing them with a tangible way to process the world around them.

My students' excitement about art is contagious and pushes me to do my best despite the difficult circumstances of our school year!

My Project

I currently have a small, flatbed utility cart that doesn't allow me to transport very much. >insert mental picture of measly janitor cart here ;)< This is a problem because my art room is being used for another classroom so students can maintain their distance from one another. Therefore, I can only access my supply closet before or after school.

A new cart with better functionality would allow me to safely and successfully teach art in my students classrooms.
