This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items in this project will create a warm, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment where students feel inspired to express themselves creatively. The painting canvases, paint, and glue will allow students to explore hands-on, artistic projects that connect to our lessons, helping them visualize themes, characters, and concepts in new and meaningful ways. These materials also encourage collaboration and critical thinking, fostering deeper connections with the content. The Keurig coffee maker and air freshener plug-ins will make the classroom feel more like a second home - a place where students feel calm, valued, and ready to learn. These small comforts can have a significant impact on their focus, morale, and overall well-being.

My students are incredible in their resilience, creativity, and desire to learn.

Many come from challenging circumstances, yet they show up every day ready to engage and grow. They are curious, passionate, and full of potential, but sometimes need extra support and encouragement to thrive. They excel when given opportunities to express themselves, whether through writing, discussions, or art. By investing in this project, I hope to empower my students to embrace their unique talents and feel proud of their contributions to our classroom community.
