My Students

My school is located in a rural area on the outskirts of a larger city. Education is valued in the community, and parental support is high. While these things are a huge asset, we often face setbacks when it comes to funding for extra things such as art materials.

Our students are eager to learn and achieve to their highest potential.

My hope for students is that the education they receive today will build a foundation for them to grow and become leaders of change in the future.

My Project

I would like to give my students a larger variety of art materials to work with. This is the first time in many years that our school has offered a class to explore art concepts, mediums, and design.

We started with the very basics: markers, colored pencils, crayons, and regular pencils on copy paper.

Students have really enjoyed these lessons and many are discovering talents they never knew they had. I am requesting tissue paper, oil pastels, paint, mixed media paper, and acrylic gloss to give students a more varied selection of items to work with.
