This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students deserve to express themselves in their artworks. They live in a low-income neighborhood. They do not have enough money to pay for resources like art supplies.
I have students who will be applying for the AP Studio art drawing course, which is a college level course taught in high school.
These students need to have the proper material in order to create high quality artwork. They attend an art school that does not have enough funds for art supplies. These students are extremely talented and creative. They will not be able to pass the AP course without the necessary supplies.
My Project
These materials will support these students in creating better art projects. The quality of art supplies makes a high difference in their artworks. They will have an easier time of applying the materials. Students will be creating a skeleton drawing and will be doing their own project with the acrylic paint. They will be learning new techniques with these materials.
These donations will make a huge difference in these students lives.
Students will learn how to use charcoal and acrylic paint. They will be able to get college credit by passing the AP Studio Art Drawing portfolio. These students can also use their artworks in portfolios for future jobs
