Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a variety of grades and ethnic backgrounds. I love how curious they are about the world around them and how they make it their mission to create an atmosphere in school that is inviting and inclusive to all. I work with classroom teachers to help foster and build leadership and community in each and everyone in our school community. I work with the student lighthouse team that creates and heads all community service projects within our school building.
My Project
These materials will help the students to internalize the learning we do by using hands on materials as well as visual representations. Students learn best when they are engaged and these materials will help to keep them engaged in learning as well as help them to create using their knowledge of the material we cover during classroom instruction time. By connecting literacy and visual arts the students will be given the opportunity to create art that shows their understanding of the material we learn during class instruction, they will be able to share their work with their peers.
