My students need cleaning supplies such as paper towels and hand soap for our classroom's cleanliness.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bahari's classroom raised $600

My Students
I am the school art teacher a small, neighborhood school in Richmond, Virginia. We have a diverse group of learners at our school, but they are all eager to learn more and explore different possibilities with art. The students come from high-poverty, urban homes. Many of their families struggle financially, so often the students are burdened with problems beyond their years. It is my hope to provide the students a safe place where they are able to not only learn and develop their creativity but also provide a sometimes much needed escape from the day to day.
My Project
Art is probably one of the most fun classes in a child's day. Having the freedom to create without restraint in their classroom is so important to their creativity. This freedom does come at a price, a truly messy classroom. Whether it is made with love or not, a messy classroom has the tendency to get out of hand if the students don't take the time to or don't have the supplies to tidy up at the end of each class. Some supplies we are requesting are paper towels, swifter wet jet to get up messes on the floors, and hand soap, which we go through very quickly in our room. This year we have been scraping by with the help from some generous custodial staff members and teachers making donations of paper towels and such to our classrooms, but it would be so nice if we could make it on our own!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
