My Students
Students come from all walks of life at our school. We celebrate diversity on a daily basis and look for ways to create a learning environment that appeals to all types of learners. We honor various learning styles and embrace the differences that make us all unique.
Our class includes multi-language learners, students with speech and language delays and students benefiting from various sensory integration strategies.
My students range in ability and are ages four and five attending a full day preschool program. We are nestled in a south side Chicago neighborhood, walking distance from a large university.
My Project
I am requesting a new art easel that will will accommodate four artists, instead of the typical two that most easels have space for. Our current classroom easel is made by the same manufacturer "Jonti-Craft" and has lasted over 10 years. However, our easel is now missing several screws and some parts are beginning to show signs of deterioration from years of use.
The four station art center will provide ample space for several artists at a time, as well as providing additional storage space for paints, paper, smocks and brushes.
Making art is one of my students' favorite activities. I am confident that this easel will provide hours of art exploration and play.
