Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic, fun-loving and eager to learn. They express their creativity in multiple forms across our curriculum.
They have been learning remotely since mid-March, and did not expect to end the school year away from their classroom.
My students need access to materials that can keep their minds engaged with hands-on activities that do not involve screen time. Let's face it, it's too much screen time for all of us. My students need basic art supplies that will enlighten their imagination and encourage them to produce artwork that reflects their lively personalities. With these tools, they'll continue to learn to appreciate the art around them.
My Project
Distance learning has presented many challenges to our learning community. Online learning is not the optimal learning environment for children, let alone children who have difficulties with reading and writing. I would like to supply my students with non-screen activities. With these activities they will be able to revamp their creativity.
I have selected a couple of items that I know my students will enjoy; this includes oil pastels and multimedia sketch pads.
My students will be able to sketch and draw the world that surrounds them with these tools.
