Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are learning artistic behaviors that artists use by, first, being artists and, second, by taking their own art making experiences even further with access to various materials. They do this by experimenting, exploring, persisting and engaging in various mediums and tools to create their own personal art.
This type of artmaking prompts self-expression, reflection, and connections to what an artist sees, remembers, feels, or even imagines.
It is student-driven learning and opens the door to create art in new ways.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
