This school is a middle city school with many different economic and cultural backgrounds. My students are asked to provide supplies which might be financially hard for them to get. Our school is a Title I school, and every donation goes a long way. Our students are driven to always do their best, but they struggle. They need financial and emotional support from their community to help them meet their true potential.
My Project
My students have a lot of paper in their binders. Everyday I hand out even more. Wouldn't it be nice if some of that paper could be colorful? Wouldn't it be nice if they could use colors on their work to make their work come alive? Art in math is a real thing, and my students definitely need it.

My students LOVE their colorful pens, highlighters and card stock paper they have received in the past. Many BEG to use their fancy pens even when they aren't writing notes. They are happy to open up their notebooks and I am happy to see them using them.
