Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Dedicated, creative, kind, enthusiastic, and humorous; our students are ready and willing to participate in all that this year has to offer. With a wide variety of personalities, these students make going to work each day an absolute joy and surprise.
No matter the task, content, or standard being taught, our students approach them all with a spirit of inquiry and dedication.
Never content with what is presented to them, our students always take their learning to the next level by asking question and engaging in zealous research.
Our students' curiosity for knowledge is insatiable. Their love and desire for learning is contagious, exciting and inspiring.
My Project
Art History in the Making! Students will have the opportunity to explore the painting styles of world famous artists like, Diego Rivera, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Frida Khalo, and Claude Monet. Several kid friendly biographies will allow my students to investigate the lives and times that inspired the works of these notable artists. Engaging students through recreations of the artists’ most recognized works will give my students an opportunity to kindle the artist within themselves. Through their exploration, students will familiarize themselves with the creative processes and artistic styles of these world renowned artists, and understand the value of art in history.
