Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are smart, savvy and extremely creative. They will often spend hours on end working on the same project until it's completed.

My students love to paint, draw, mold and create elaborate and imaginative projects, with an amazing attention to detail!

This year I hope to expand our art area to give my students more space for creativity. I'd also like to add various art materials not usually available to us, such as woodworking and sculpting. With your help, this will become a reality!

My Project

Schools usually focus on science, literacy, math and language. Add social skills and you've got the formula for getting children ready for kindergarten. But what about the creative side of these children?

Creativity is not something that can be taught, but it certainly should be encouraged and nurtured.

That's what I hope to do with my students, with your help, of course. They need an art easel where they can have the means for being creative. So far, that has been out of my reach, since our school budget is so low. With your help, I can provide them with a new and exciting world of colors, textures and shapes!
