This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Art is the perfect medium for connecting 3rd grade curriculum to fun and engaging activities that help solidify knowledge. I teach in a Title I school with 27 amazing students who love art. With spring starting, I plan on using the water color pencils, the paint and the painting paper to teach about our Life Cycle unit in Science. We will be creating art that represents living things outside of our classroom like trees, birds, etc.
My students are such amazing readers.
We will solidify their vocabulary by creating their very own vocabulary bracelet/keychain using the bead kit. Left over items will be used during SEL time to create items for others around the school. With all the new art projects I can create from this, I will use the paper organizer to keep projects prepped and ready for lessons.
