Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My middle schoolers are eager to paint! I am requesting canvases, paint, paint markers, Geli Plates, and Sharpies that will be used for various projects throughout the year as students learn the elements and principles of art and how to express themselves using art.
Students enjoy coming to art class and are excited to explore different art techniques and express themselves.
These canvases, paint, and paint markers will be used to create abstract art so students can learn to express their emotion(s). Middle schoolers are filled with so many emotions and often struggle with how to express themselves. Art can be used as an outlet to express those emotions.
The Geli Plates will be used to create printing-making projects as they learn about the artist Katsushika Hokusai. Sharpies and paint markers will be used to line their paintings and add details. These art supplies will be used in all six of my classes and will greatly be appreciated.
