Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We worked really hard throughout the school year to prepare for our state test. Now that it's over, I would like to end the year in a fun and meaningful way for the students. To achieve this, we will do some art projects that will allow students to apply what they've learned in math throughout the year.
By working on art projects where students can practice the math skills they've learned, students will be able to improve their understanding of the use of math in the real world, as well as develop their creativity and imagination.
However, to make this happen, we need some art materials that we will use in and outside the classroom. To give students a better and larger space to inspire their creativity, I would like to request a foldable wagon that will help us move materials outside when needed. Additionally, we need some paint, markers, glue sticks, storage boxes, tape, etc. to add to the materials we already have.
When students practice geometry, decimals, and fractions creatively, they will enjoy as they realize how important and useful these concepts can be in the real world. I'm excited to give my students a different view of math, one which will help them strengthen and develop different skills to use now as well as in the future.
