My Students

"Wisdom begins in wonder" - Socrates When my students create, they are bringing their wonder to life.

Each year we plan to add a new grade and grow with our students to 5th grade.

Our students come to school eager to learn, smiling as they walk through the door each day. With over 95% receiving free/reduced school lunch, they live in a high-needs urban community. Families and our school work together to provide our students with the support, care, and rigor to set them on a positive path in their education.

My Project

With your donation, my students will have materials at hand to create and collaborate across all subject areas, from reading to social studies. They will be able to create representations of themselves and others in the world using multicultural crayons and paper after listening to stories read aloud and investigating their communities during social studies. With materials such as pipe cleaners, tissue paper, and pom poms, students can use their kinetic and tactile strengths to create works of art that tie directly to our Common Core-based curriculum.

Your donation will help ensure that my students receive high quality learning materials, so they aren't limited by the lack of resources surrounding them and our school.

When they see their works of art displayed in the classroom, I have no doubt it will fill my students' minds and hearts with joy and fuel their love of learning.
