Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school has made tremendous gains over the past twelve years, moving from one of the lowest-performing schools in the area to achieving the honor of being named a California Distinguished School!
We are an example of a community of students, teachers, parents, and staff all working together for academic achievement.
Our hope is that many of our students will be the first generation in their families to go to college!
The majority of my students are English language learners (ELLs) whose families are newcomers to America. They are highly motivated to learn and prosper.
My Project
My students need various color construction paper, Do-A-Dot Rainbow Art, and craft bags. Each item I'm requesting will be used for a specific purpose. My students will be able to use the construction paper to create artwork and to enhance previously taught art concepts and skills. The craft bags will be used to create puppets for our annual animal museum. The Do-A-Dot Rainbow Art will be used during writing and art lessons.
With your help my students will have much needed resources that will make a lasting impact in their education.
