Our elementary is a small K-6 school in rural community. Each grade level has around 60 students. To motivate students to come to school and stay caught up on their assignments, we offer 35 min clubs at the end of the day.
The art club is a popular choice among students.
Students love creating lasting pieces they can take home and share with others. Many students do not have access to creative materials to make lasting art at home.
My Project
Painting supplies will allow students to have the opportunity to be creative and experience success of finishing an art piece they can take home. Students are currently using paper and pencils to create art. Many students have never been able to paint nor have a canvas picture they can take home.
This project will help motivate students to do their best academically so they can take part in the project.
All students who would like to participate will have the chance. This will be a popular choice with a tangible product at the end. Before being sent home, students will have an art show to share their paintings with younger students and community members.
