Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We're the Eagles and my Eaglets are ready to SOAR! I have 30 hardworking, respectful and kind students from very diverse backgrounds. Many of my Eagles struggle to meet grade level standards, but they arrive every morning with smiles on their faces and a willingness to do their best. Our schedule is packed with district mandated curriculum and we incorporate art whenever we can to help our Eagles learn and grow. One thing I have learned about this class is they need and enjoy art instruction so much.
My Project
I am excited to request these items to celebrate the art skills many of my students have and their willingness to try new things with new materials. The beads, book making and box materials will expand our language arts lessons. The wire will enable students to apply their math vocabulary to an art project, and the paper will allow my students to expand their drawing and painting skills with quality materials. These materials will not make it easier to work with, but everyone will have enough materials to complete their projects.
These high quality projects will be ones they will feel confident sharing with their peers and family.
