Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We will make class books using the book binding machine, so students can publish their writing and drawings, and make alphabet & number books, as well as memory books for their families. Students will love exploring art using stamps, rubbing plates, stencils, and LCD screen quick erase drawing and writing tablets.
Use of these art materials will help strengthen young hands and build fine motor control to prepare preschool students for learning to write, and the writing tablets aid students with perfectionist tendencies in making writing attempts with the easy erasing.
Themes that can be explored using stamps, stencils, and/or rubbing plates include alphabet letters, numbers, shapes, dinosaurs, leaves, insects, animals, and transportation.
