This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Lately and because of social isolation due to COVID, my students (and I) are in need of taking a day per week to put away electronics and concentrate on art including painting, drawing, creating masks, using clay, making bead bracelets...as we listen to music playlists created by them. I will use art as a venue to help my students relax and connect with each other face-to-face.

Art is a form of empowerment to give my students a different venue to express their voices.

These pieces of art will be in display at local Community Centers.
