Art Electric Pencil Shapener

Help me give my students the ease of using electric pencil sharpeners to sharpen their colored pencil for their art assignments. The money available in my school art budget is not adequate to make this purchase.

My Project

I am an art teacher in an urban school in Bridgeport, CT. At the beginning of each year, I have a minimal art budget. My budget is used to purchase the necessary art supplies needed for each school year. My students love to use colored pencils, many do to have the money available to purchase this supply for personal use at home. I need to purchase quality electric pencil sharpeners for the students to use to sharpen the colored pencils for their art assignments. My art budget does not afford me the luxury of making this purchase for two quality pencil sharpeners with exchangeable blades for the student. I have purchased less expensive pencil sharpeners using my own funds. These less expensive sharpeners do not last for the school year with two hundred and fifty students using them for art assignments.

The electric pencil sharpeners I am asking the generous donors working with DonorChoose to purchase will be greatly appreciated by me and my students.

Student will not get frustrated trying to sharpen the needed colored pencils for their art assignments. These sharpeners will make their art assignments more enjoyable and a positive experience.
