This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My TK students live in the low-income, mid-city district of Los Angeles. My students come to school every day and we have the highest attendance for a Title I/low-income school with a population of about 700 plus students. My Transitional Kindergarteners are a rambunctious, beautiful bunch of kids with so much life, love and learning to be had. They deserve everything the world has to offer and more! I am so proud of them, every step of the way! They are happy learners with smiles and excitement all day!

My Project

My TK/K students love art and these materials will offer them a variety to choose from and create beautiful art. They will have the opportunity to experience different art media as well.

The gel crayons, colored pencils, paint sets, markers and construction paper will inspire my students to create art using and mixing a variety of art supplies.

My students will be able to experience the use of different art media and express themselves in whatever way they please. We will use this art kit for art class, SEL class, and unit themed art.
