Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students enjoy growing their artistic abilities and seeing how they grow through different projects both in class and in our school community. My art students are looking to grow our club and program and in doing so, they are interested in collaborating with performing visual arts groups, clubs, and sports at our school.
My students are so committed to the projects we create here at school to help build school spirit and culture.
After over a year of creating art using home resources and the few items our district was able to provide for them, my students are back on campus and they deserve multiple resources to grow their skill. These students look forward to seeing there art in our community both at the school and other local locations.
My Project
Now that we are back on campus, my art students are looking to unite sports teams with art. As a result, my students want to be able to create posters for the sports teams to showcase during the games. In order to do this, they will need bulk poster paper and markers, paint, and other coloring tools.
This project will help my art students practice outside of class what they learn in class.
It will also make them feel a great sense of pride in demonstrating their work and showing them the practicality of how they can use what they know and possibly tie it to a future profession in the arts field.
