My Project

We just had our fifth annual Art Showcase and had a turnout of at least 400 people. They viewed 1200 pieces of art by our proud little students, plus our Black Light Gallery.

Next year I am hoping to dress up my students as the Renaissance masters such as da Vinci, Michelangelo, Durer, Botticelli, and more, and have them paint a canvas of that artist's famous work.

They will walk around, holding the frame around their faces, with the art work curved behind their heads; it will look like the artist is "in" his own painting. Fifth graders will research their artist so they know facts about them and can recognize their work.

Therefore, we need some Renaissance period style clothing and costumes to complete this project. Thanks in advance for supporting us!

Ms. Watkins will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 29.
