Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our fourth graders love art! Every Friday students participate in "fun Friday" for excellent behavior and work completion. 2/3 of our fourth grade students join me for art club. Currently, students enjoy watercolors, sculpting with clay, and directed drawings.
I want to expose my students to more art materials such as oil pastels, watercolor pencils, and a culminating project DIY bookmarks with dried flowers.
The bins in this project help students keep their art materials clean and organized for the following week.
Students enjoy this time to freely explore any art materials they want. They work with their friends and are so engaged with their creations. I want to have more art items available for students. Through donations on this site I am able to have a shelf full of art materials for students to use during this time.
