My students need visual art posters that brighten up the classroom while informing them of the common aspects of art.

My Students
"Why do we have art class?" This is a question I have discussed with my middle school students. They agree that they are interested in art, but as a rule, they do not believe it is important or will help them in the future.
Because many of my students enjoy creating art, but many of them fail to see the value in the process.
I am continually describing the different careers and opportunities for people involved in the visual arts. It is also a continual struggle to show the validity of art as a school subject, when students have not been exposed to the art world at all before middle school. Art has not been pushed or supported as a valid subject in many other schools and in the childrens' homes. The posters describing the career opportunities in the visual arts will help consistently remind them of the importance of art as a subject.
My Project
In the classroom, there are many examples of student work hanging on the walls. However, the classroom would be much brighter with these high quality posters supplementing the childrens' work.
These colorful posters will help take the mystery out of the different techniques for ceramics, as well as other forms of art. They will help my students to develop their knowledge and skills, so they can create imaginative art.
Many students, parents, and even other educators do not value art as a true school subject.
Because of the inane attitude that students have been previously exposed to, it is increasingly difficult to show the importance of visual art in the classroom, as something other than recreational activity.
Your help will ensure that my students have the visuals they need to demystify the elements and principles of design and encourage the importance of art as a subject.
