Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in my Fashion Club as well as my general art classes have been working on upcycling and redesigning pieces of clothing. In a world where so much of our clothing does not last long enough to be worn for years, our student are passionate about giving them a new life. Students are working on creating their own clothing line, designing their graduation outfits, and fixing clothing that does not fit or is worn.
I would love to give them the opportunity to find career options and discover the environmental impact that creating your own clothing can have.
Please help me give these amazing students more supplies to help them on this journey.
