My Students
My students are from low-income families and are facing even more economic hardships from the pandemic.
Many of my students are new to this country and may not have the resources to prepare for remote learning.
My school has over 30 languages spoken in the building.
My Project
I am an art teacher and will be teaching all of my students remotely this semester. I still want them to have the opportunity to create art with their hands, not just digitally. I am asking my students to purchase some supplies, but many will be unable to so I am asking Donors Choose for paint sets and a box of colored pencils. This will allow students to complete daily activities in their sketchbook.
I want ALL of my students to have the proper supplies, and I will not assign art-making by hand until they all have the opportunity.
