Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from all over the district. We are a public school, where parents put their children on the waitlist at four years old to go through the school's lottery. We are a school of choice. We are a high performing school, where parent participation is strongly encouraged. Parent support is key to my students' success. We do not receive federal funding. We have to fundraise for anything extra. Common Core Standards are implemented daily, with a lack of materials. It would be great to get more materials.

My Project

Third graders love to paint! They love to paint on canvas. They feel like real artist when they have acrylic paint, acrylic paint brushes, and canvas! Our class loves reading about real artist and becoming that artist and painting their artwork on canvas.

Please help our class become an artist by helping us fund canvas, paintbrushes, paintbrush cleaner, and stands!

We love reading about special artist and art is our passion in third grade and would love to have the supplies to make our projects real. Art makes are day happy and fun, we laugh, smile, compliment, and create openness during our art discussion.

Art is not funded throughout the state and we have to get funded through parent donations or purchase out of my pocket. This is the joy of teaching and the joy that students love. Students LOVE ART! Help fund what they love. Please and thank you.
