My Students

I teach third grade, and my students are enthusiastic about learning, and curious about the world and the way things work. We have a supportive classroom environment where they are encouraged to collaborate and make learning personal. My third graders absolutely love opportunities to work with their hands and see practical applications of the ideas being taught in class. These students are creative, and I am often amazed at the way they see things. They're always teaching me new things!

My Project

I am passionate about teaching art, and am excited that our students have the opportunity to enrich the learning at home through weekly art lessons.

Access to art materials is limited, and there are many techniques they can learn by having a wider variety of materials.

I teach elements of art, techniques, and art history. My students are enjoying the opportunity to express themselves creatively, and I have many ideas for fun projects that they can create using oil pastels. I'm excited to teach them the technique of shading. In art history, I plan to teach them about Claude Monet and recreate waterlily paintings using these materials.
