This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to come to class every day. Most come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and receive free lunch. However, they do not let their backgrounds hinder their learning. They come eager to learn every day.

My students help create an environment that is caring, welcoming, and encouraging.

From day one, we have created a classroom environment where we know it is a safe environment to learn. We can make mistakes and learn from them. They learn how to treat others with respect and learn how to use their manners.

My Project

To be with art or not to be with art? That is the question. Obviously we want art and that's where you come in! Learning about famous and influential artists is very important. I plan to start an art appreciation club after school and these materials are vital.

Learning about art appreciation at a young age is important to create a well rounded education.

Not only is it fun to make art but attaching it to influential artists and to learn about why they are so important is a great way to show students why art education is necessary. Students will be able to go into museums and know why those paintings are there.
