My Project

Our students within the High Needs ASD program are being taught all subject areas within our program.

In my classrooms I teach Math, English, Transition, and Social Skills.

I am able to incorporate art in every aspect of the curriculum. Art is extremely important for our students, and they remember lessons taught since they get to work hands-on with a variety of material. They will also learn the history of art and create some wonderful pieces of art with the materials we hope to get. They will also be able to use art as a way to manage stress and anxiety.

I have chosen materials from several different areas. We will be able to paint, draw, create 3-dimensional projects using clay, tie-dye and also experiment with alcohol inks. All these materials will enable our students to experiment and learn about the wonderful world of art!
