Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a first grade teacher at a public school. My Students are excited about learning and want to excel in school. I have a large range of learning abilities in my classroom. My students come from diverse backgrounds with a variety of needs. Some have autism, ADD, or ADHD, but all of the children have the same desire to learn.

My students are sweet.

They are excited and ready to learn, explore, and take on the world. They are excited from the time they get off the bus in the morning to when they leave at night.

We want to explore our creative side. We are excited about mosaic art and want to create our own pieces of art. To create these art pieces we need buttons, feathers, and uppercase letters. These simple but important materials will allow our artistic side to emerge making learning fun.
