Help me give my students art supplies to use for various class projects this year.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Runion's classroom raised $235

My Students
My students are 5th graders located in the beautiful, capital city of Charleston, WV. They are eager learners and have hearts of gold. A large majority of the students come from low socioeconomic homes, but that doesn't keep them from being engaged in the classroom.
I feel that the more engaged in learning they are, the more they will enjoy it, and the more they will retain.
These students love cooperative learning and completing projects. They work hard and are always willing to put forth 100% effort. Instilling a strong foundation in education can make a big difference in their successful futures.
My Project
We would like some various art materials to stock up our classroom! I love to include illustrations and doodling when learning new topics in class and these new materials can help our depleting supply cabinet. Students love the opportunity to add a little bit of their own personality to their notebooks.
Adding some artistic variations to lessons gives the potential to help improve a student's memory and concentration skills, but also encourage focus.
The variety of construction paper will allow us to incorporate art into units of different subjects. The markers provide a fun way to add a little pop to notes and diagrams while studying. And glitter, well, everything gets better with glitter!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
