This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in my class consists of 5 year olds learning how to cut, glue, write and read. We work very hard but still make learning fun by incorporating art into our lessons. My biggest challenge is supplies as my school is a Title 1 which means that our families cannot afford to buy them.
My students are happy five year olds, and for some of them this will be their first year in school.
This can make the beginning of the school year a bit stressful for them, so I try to make learning fun by incorporating art into most of my lessons. My school is a Title 1 school which means that our families can't always afford to spend extra money on lunch or supplies.
My Project
I work at a Title 1 school which means that sometimes our families don't have enough money to purchase all of the daily supplies needed. Your donation will help me make learning fun by incorporating art into my lessons. We will use the glue, construction paper, paint, paint brushes, wiggly eyes, and pipe cleaners while learning our letters, during our reading to help us with the characters. For writing we will use them to help us tell a story and later on make it even better by adding some of the words and sentences we have learned. In science we can make a craft for the topic learned like the moon, or the parts of a plant. And last in social studies we can learn about the presidents, or community servers. The use of art helps establish something tactile that the students can relate to and refer to when telling their parents what they learned in school today.
With your donation, you will ensure that my kids love learning and coming to school, and even though they are working really hard, they will love it because of how fun my class is.
Your donation will improve my class because with the donated supplies I will be able to ensure that all of my students have a great learning experience. My students will benefit greatly by your generosity because they will be able to have hands-on learning.
