This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of the challenges in an art room is finding the balance between the early finishers and students that might need a little more time.

With these art boxes I can help ignite curiosity in my early finishers, while also providing an incentive for all students to complete their work in a timely manner.

That's why I have come up with an idea for these 12 different art boxes.

Each box would contain a different type of art. These would be things that I may not be able to fund for a typical project for everyone or something specialized that would be an extension of an assignment we have done previously. This would be completely independent and they could have limitless exploration in each box. Early finishers will "Rent" a box from me during the class period and choose whichever one peaks their interest.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of artistic experiences. I would love for my students to have these boxes so that they can get more variety, promote their mental health, and encourage self-exploration of art processes.
