Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a second grade teacher in a high poverty school. Our school is making progress each year and this year we are a Performing Plus school.

As with many districts, our funds have been cut substantially this year. My students are interested in learning about the world and different cultures, and a few students are quite interested in weather patterns. Expository texts are hard to come by, and this is a reasonable way to bring excitement to their global learning.

TIME for Kids magazine can bring the world to their hands, and students can unlock the curiosity they already possess. The topics they will discover will tap into future curiosities and research can become a daily experience!

Your generosity will help my students foster that curiosity, and they will come to learn more about the world they live in, not just the world around them. This project will guide their desire to learn about other people, cultures, animals, and environments.
