Help me give my students the opportunity of a lifetime! At Charlotte Motor Speedway, students will experience hands on learning opportunities. These opportunities include graphing the motion of an object, observing friction on the racetrack, and determining speed.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are faced with many challenges inside and outside the classroom due to their socioeconomic status. Our school is a Title I school where all of our students receive free or reduced-price I meals. The majority of my students are also faced with the challenge of learning English as their second language. Despite the many challenges that my students face, they are capable of so much and I know they can be successful.
My goal is to create an environment for my students that is inviting, engaging, and meaningful.
My classroom is a safe place where learning is fun but adds meaning to their lives. Thanks to your donations I will continue to be able to do whatever I can to help my students succeed and move on to be successful members of society.
My Project
Prior to the field trip, students will have learned about force and motion concepts such as speed, distance time graphs, friction, momentum, and gravity.
At Charlotte Motor Speedway, students will experience hands on learning opportunities with force and motion through stations.
These stations include graphing the motion of an object, observing friction on the racetrack, and determining the speed of model cars.
Charlotte Motor Speedway will provide students with activity books at departure. When returning to school, students will apply their knowledge and hands-on learning experiences so that they are successfully able to answer force and motion EOG style questions. This experience will create memories that will last a lifetime!
