My Students
For the majority of my students, school is their safe zone. My classroom is the one place they know they can come to and feel secure and supported. My goal is to mold my classroom into a comfortable space that will allow their inquisitive minds to flourish.
My Project
In math, my students often learn best by receiving small group instruction. While I am working with a small group of students on specific deficits, that means I must find something rigorous and meaningful for the remainder of my students to do. The VersaTiles classroom set is an engaging and interactive way for them to practice skills, but also make sure they are getting their answers correct.
My biggest fear as a teacher when I am doing small groups is that the groups I am not actively engaged with may be completing work incorrectly - with VersaTiles, that fear will go away!
