My Students

We are a co-ed class of Fifth grade students in rural town in South Carolina. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and also have a variety of learning styles. We love to read, write, and learn about the history of not only our state but our country.

My students are a high energy bunch and love to learn through hands on games and movement.

You will often walk into our room and find students scattered around the room learning in many different forms.

Allowing my students to be able to get up and move around the room while learning through games and activities will help in not only keeping them engaged, but the lesson will have a high rigor in the standards to help students develop a deeper understanding of the material.

My Project

Imagine walking into your classroom and it has been transformed! I want to be able to give my students an amazing experience that will not only help them learn and retain information but will also give them an experience that they will never forget.

Students learn best through hands on experiences and having these materials will help students enhance and retain their learning.

These materials will also not only help with student engagement but the lessons will maintain the rigor to challenge students to deepen their understanding of the material. Given the opportunity to practice their fast facts or how to make an inference in an article all while using highlighters and black lights will give students an experience that they will never forget. Not only will this experience be engaging for students but they are able to use many skills, such as teamwork, critical thinking, and problem solving as they work together to solve problems in order to complete the next step in their glow game.
