The Battle of the Books motivates students to read, monitor their own comprehension, and become active participants in book discussions. Battle of the Books encourages students to read quality literature on a variety of topics and themes. We need class sets for our students to participate.

In order to participate in the Battle of the Books, students must read a variety of books chosen by the state. Each student having copies of each of the books allows them to read at home and school to prepare for battle.
