My Project

The majority of my special education students are nonverbal and hyperactive. But what I love about them is they all love school and enjoy being in the classroom. They all enjoy learning about letters, colors, shapes, and numbers whether they are sitting down, standing, or sometimes even walking around the classroom. I value individual differences and my student's needs and that's why I try my best to accommodate their needs to be successful in the classroom. But how can my students enjoy learning in the classroom with scorching heat?

With a lot of movements going on in my classroom, a cool and comfortable environment is critical for my students learning needs.

My students are restless, easily get agitated, and cry when it's too hot in the classroom. I have observed these in several instances already and it breaks my heart to see my students suffer in this kind of environment and weather. This prompted me to request an air conditioner for our classroom and hoping that you can help me provide this needed support for my students.
